discreet and robust, suitable for harsh environments.
For example, our bespoke antenna model no. OA1-0.42V/1316,
operating at 380MHz to 470MHz, measures just 239 x 395 mm, and is installed in the underground car
park at London Heathrow Terminal 5.
Omni-directional antennas that operate at such low
frequencies as this normally need to be very large, but the required location had a low ceiling
height, presenting severe design challenges resulting from consequent size
restrictions.
Once again, Cobham Antenna Systems came up with the best design solution – an
unusual flush-mounting, omni-directional antenna that meets the needs of its location requirements
perfectly, while still maintaining high-specification beam patterns. It is rugged enough to
withstand extreme temperatures, and it is neutrally coloured to blend in with its surroundings.
